[ These soft, colorful toddler sweaters] are hand made by retired women (known as pensioners) from Romania.
Each sweater is lovingly crafted with a pattern unique only to Romania and takes about 20 hours to complete.

These pensioners receive from the government approximately $50.00 a month to live on. This includes housing, food, clothing, medications and medical care. It is just not possible, so they knit and I purchase their sweaters as my way of trying to help.

Now we need your help. Every sweater that I sell allows me to buy more and help more of theses women who taught me so much about community and self reliance when I visited them.
